I love it. I just feel stronger after a core work out. It makes me feel more mobile. I don’t know. That’s probably weird. But anyways, did a lot of ab/core exercises, plus leg lifts, and a few minutes of upper body weight lifting.

Whoo…. Starting to feel sore. I’m not doing all the same ones. I’m trying to target different muscles. But it felt good today when I laughed and felt sore in my abs. My arms were feeling a little sore from yesterday, too. I love that feeling… Means I’m doing my work out right, right?

Can you believe it?

Coach is giving us a full week off!!!
I’m so excited. And I’m starting it off with some good calisthenics. Lots of sit ups, lots of leg lifts. I’m going to do some major strength training this week to get my core and upper body into shape. It’ll really help when it comes to running, I think.

I’ve been doing a lot of core exercises and other upper body strength training. I’ve been lacking on my upper body work outs because of all the time I’ve put into cross country, but now that the season is winding to a close, I’ve realized that keeping my upper body strength up is important, even for running.

Basically I did a lot of bicycles, normal crunches, and other ab exercises, and through in some weight lifting.
Anyways, I’m going running in a little while. It might rain on me. YAY!

A bit of strength training

It’s raining, so I decided to get on my treadmill at home. Lo and behold, it’s broken. That frustrated me a bit. But I got over it. I threw on ankle weight and grabbed my free weights, and did a ton of leg lifts, some squats, some lunges, and even some ab exercises. I’m going to do more later. I’m still disappointed about yesterday… Oh well. I’m going to kick my butt into shape. I will be better…
